"Trust that little voice in your head that says: 'Wouldn't it be interesting if ...' And then do it. " Duane Michals, "More Joy of Photography"
I just love these pictures my son Robin has taken from his girlfriend, lovely model and actress Julie Gaston. They are both such talented artists and inventive people and can create something from almost nothing. And they keep inspiring me. Is there something, you have always wanted to try. but didn't get around doing yet?

What a beautiful girl and what qualities your son possesses, great photography... Like mother like son!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week Martina:-)
Now this is one very interesting post, liebe Martina. Wonderful words to start the weekend to. Weekend means a bit more spare time to think things over, I am including this great quote. Wie geht's dir? Es gibt hier viel Regen und kaltes Wetter. I wonder where Mrs. Summer went. Did she skip die Niederlande? Ich hoffe nicht, noch eine Woche und dann ist es schluss mit der Schule. SOMMER FERIEN sind da!
ReplyDeleteAlles liebe, sweet vriendin ~o xx o~
Great question!! I've been thinking about this a lot lately as I begin to look towards my children both being out of town at university/college and now having time on my hands again. There are so many things I'm planning...things I want to 'try' my hand at!

The one thing that I"ve been meaning to sign up for are cake decorating classes--my daughter and I were going to do this in February and still haven't done it. It's been a dream since I was little and our neighbor made beautiful cakes. It will happen--in the fall perhaps when we don't mind being inside for classes.
ReplyDeleteP.S. You're so lucky to have so many creative people in your family!
Amazing and what a talented family you have! : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs. she is really beautiful. happy weekend
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing! I love the quote because it is something an artist should live by. If I didn't act on half my "What if I's" I wouldn't have half of my designs!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
What gorgeous pictures your son has taken! Love how he captured the different looks! What talent!

I spent all day in my garden, and now I am ready for a good dinner and movie with my beloved. May you have a splendid Sunday...Anita

Dearest friend,
ReplyDeleteWe just came home from our neighbor's daughter's graduation garden party. It is so warm and lovely here, the people are happy and their gardens are stunning. it is so lovely to come see your comment, knowing that all of us friends are trying to soak up all the beauty of the season! I am craving some quiet time for the summer is already starting off to be busy and I just want to stay still...and read. I WISH YOU MANY DAYS OF CALM AND BEAUTY! Thank you for coming, Anita
Gorgeous photographs - so expressive!
ReplyDeleteGood evening dear friend in Germany!!! Ahhhh...what a great afternoon we had. We had a real writer, an author from the local community over our house today that really listened, shared and encouraged us in the area of writing. It was magical. Now the weather is acting up here; high winds and clouds moving in and about are more September-like than June, but I JUST KNOW that summer is here and soon will bring more sunshine! Your visits are sweet and always give me a peek of sunlight...have a great evening dear Martina! Anita
ReplyDeleteWow she's beautiful! such talent you and your son have!
