Loulou de la Falaise in Paris

"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast."
Ernest Hemingway

Ever dreamt of a charming place in the capital of love?  I sometimes do! And  Loulou de la Falaise's apartment here looks just perfect to me!

Loulou de la Falaise was Yves Saint Laurent's favorite muse. And as a designer and a woman with great taste and style she decorated the place in a relaxed, elegant way, combining neutral eggshell shades with colorful items from all around the globe.
'When I saw my apartment for the first time, I felt good in this artist's studio,' she says.
Well - i would, too! Can i please come visit for tea and macaroons Loulou?

In case you want to dream on a bit, i highly recommend the little book by Ernest Hemingway  "Paris,  a moveable feast".  It's a real favorite of mine and i read it again and again over the years.

  2. MA BELLE AMIE...this is the blog post title that kept coming up on my blog roll last week, but I never saw it when I came to visit...this is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. I LOVE LOU LOU and the older she gets, the more rich and beautiful she is. This is what I AM FOR...look at her joy, her smile, her STYLE. Oh dear one, is it cold out your way? It is still very cold here and YOUR KNOW ME DON'T YOU?I RUN out the door after school to come to see my new addition. We will be painting it this weekend. Wednesday the floor goes in and it is a dream. It will take weeks however, to get it exactly how I want it because I have to wait for the chandelier and curtains. It is all so expensive!!!!

Enjoy the rest of your evening, liebe liebe Martina. Ich bin auch ziemlich lui heute Abend!! Love to you xxxx

  8. I loved visiting Paris in my 20s. I had such adventures while there. Nothing as fancy as Loulou's though...stunningly beautiful. I would love to go back with my husband some day.

  12. Ahhhh, this was such a good choice dearest to post Lou Lou....for seeing her incredible smile and style is just as refreshing as a bouquet of flowers. Oh Martina, THE FLOOR IS GETTING INSTALLED TODAY! My husband starts painting tomorrow and we are gonna be two happy people this weekend!!!! THANK YOU FOR ASKING! ANd I can barely get through the work day, just DREAMING ABOUT IT! However, I have plenty of work and children to keep me hopping and then when I get home, it is such a joy to see the progress. The plaster was finished yesterday and the texture they applied to the walls is STUNNING, like that in an old cottage or castle!!!! I will be posting pictures as this takes more shape. Scaffolds and dusting surfaces still are the main attraction, but that will change in about a week. I can't believe it!

Have a wonderful day dear friend, Anita
