Decorating with books





A good book on your shelf is a friend that turns its back on you and remains a friend. 

I don't know about you, but i always have piles of books around me. and sometimes even play with them or use them for little vignettes and stillifes around the house. Especially when i want to take photos of little things. So i loved this collection of beautifully styled photos i found at LONNY mag.
They really do get me going somehow ... My son recently said: "The graet thing about books is, that they never look bad, even if they just lie around somewhere!"

    Hello Martina,
    You are right. Books are always good companions when it is cold or rainy outside and they make beautiful decor at home.
    I think in Germany you have the same wretched weather than ours in France. Spring is hiding.

    DEAREST MARTINA! You and me both; I cannot have enough books at my disposal at the moment on POETRY. I am reading them like one eats...daily! But in décor, they add such a cozy feel. And right now, coziness is the word because we are having AN ICE STORM! Off I go to drive in it! LOVE Anita

    We have books coming out of our ears & I am always hiding them! I like your idea of keeping a stack for decorations! I am gonna do that in Annie's new room we are doing! Love it! Of course it'll be a stack of fancy Nancy & Little women :)
