In the mood for romance?

Pleasure is spread through the earth
In stray gifts to be claimed by whoever shall find.

William Wordsworth, 1806

Wow, i'm in love with these pretty things from Doloris Petunia. I'm maried already, i know - but, a girl can dream sometimes, right?  At least a little bit, in her coffee break ;) Wish i could share a cup with you right now and send you some gorgeous espresso smell and a virtual cupcake to whereever you are!

Shop the magic!

A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.
Colin Powell

And then sometimes the magic slips in .... and makes a piece of work really special. Some gorgeous pix from other artists that caught my eye these day:
Exquisite paper shoes and bluebird, handmade by my dear blogfriend Anita Rivera, who just quit her job as a teacher to be a full time artist - so exiting!  Romantic necklace with pearls and flowers, so perfect to style up a simple white summer dress by Rustic Gem and a lovely vintage style painting on an old book page by Coco de Paris.

Happy midweek to you flowers, see you soon!

Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.
George Bernard Shaw

Happy 2012 lovelies!
Hope you've all had a great time celebrating and relaxing. I spent a rather quiet but cozy time with my family, and it was just the right thing to do. It rains buckets here and i still feel like staying in bed, but i played a bit with jewellery and my camera, to add some brightness and cheerfullness to the start of a new week and a new year. This week is dedicated to imagination, visualizing, planning and setting things in motion - have you made any plans yet, for the new year ahead?

Friday Pretties: Jewellery design

Some drawings around the theme of jewellery design i found in my desk the other day. I did these several years ago, to be honest, quite a long while ago, for the last picture shows the design for our wedding band. The rings where the only thing that actually got made - from paper into metal. I had a client who had ordered ideas for a special watch to be made exclusively for him, and doing this, i got ideas for many other things. I had fun looking at these sheets again, so maybe you do, too!

Are you ready for the weekend, like i am?  This week felt a bit tense for me and i can't wait to relax and come visit and chat with you.

Friday Pretties: Jazz up your day ...

...by wearing some funky jewellery!
The bright yellow bauble in these pictures belongs to a wristlet of mine, that looks like it is made of chocolates wrappend in tin-foil. All the kids love it, when they see it, and for me it's a reminder to never forget that a little sweetness can change your mood any time. A chocolate truffle, a raspberry icecream, a lovely compliment, a bunch of flowers, a little walk in the sunshine, a hug, a song, a smile, a small present ... hmmm, maybe buy something for your friend today, because -
The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.

Monday Love: Cameo jewellery

All i want for christmas ...

Actually, i'm starting to look for presents. Last year, i was very late, orders didn't arrive, parcels got lost on their way, so this year i want to start out in a more relaxed way and make this treasure hunt fun. Now, in my coffe break - browsing through Etsy, look what i found: pretty victorian style handmade jewellery with portrait cameo, ornaments and beads - perfect for my sister, nieces and girlfriends. How come i always find the things for them first? (Ups, coffee break is getting longer and longer ... ;))

Monday Love

Optimist: Person who travels on nothing from nowhere to happiness.
Mark Twain

Sweet, playful, romantic - not what a monday morning usually feels like. Today i need some dream time before i start working - and these beautiful pieces of jewellery just fit perfectly with that mood. I want to put on a white dress, one of Tamars necklaces and then go and pick a big wild flower bouquet!
