Easy peppermint marshmallows

One can never have too much LOVE ...

and just in case you need some remedy for winter blues, i found some: Easy homemade marshmallows  from wonderful Liz, author of  Say Yes to Hoboken, a great crafty blog i recently discovered. Wouldn't these make a perfect treat for Valentines? Or, any other day between here and then, that needs a little extra attention and sweetness? Love the pink whirl and love mint - and i hope you do too! Check out the full DIY here.

Baked LOVE!

There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved.  It is God's finger on man's shoulder.
Charles Morgan

A sweet little baking project to celebrate love and have creative fun while doing so. I have found instructions for this amazing icing on a great blog all around baking and decorating called sweetopia. I'm not usually a great baker, but at the moment, i love it. Maybe because it keeps me warm and is not as demanding as painting. Still thinking about what to give my honey on valentines: some funky baked lips? Have a sweet weekend lovelies, i'd love to hear what you are up to.

And: Please excuse my slowness in blogging or lack in comments. I have problems with blogger lately. The comment boxed disappear, when i want to write something. Has any of you a similar problem?

Jewelled hearts

Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.
George Bernard Shaw

Happy 2012 lovelies!
Hope you've all had a great time celebrating and relaxing. I spent a rather quiet but cozy time with my family, and it was just the right thing to do. It rains buckets here and i still feel like staying in bed, but i played a bit with jewellery and my camera, to add some brightness and cheerfullness to the start of a new week and a new year. This week is dedicated to imagination, visualizing, planning and setting things in motion - have you made any plans yet, for the new year ahead?

Monday Love: Win my heart(s)!

Little Presents are so important sometimes ...
to show someone how much you care, to make someones heart sing, to make a normal monday special, or just because life is beautiful and should be celebrated.

In this case, dear friends, i have a little present for you, because you are bringing so much joy to my heart every day. I'm giving away 3 sets of my "Art of heart" cards, with matching envelopes. If you'd like to get one of them, just follow my blog (in case you are not a follower yet), and leave a comment on this post (If you are a follower, tell me so.). Winners will be announced monday next week.

Friday Pretties: You are loved!

And how sweet is it,
to wrap the nicest of feelings in a cute, creative idea,
like a Popcorn-box, filled with little items and an invitation for a movie night at home, or a collection of post-it notes that can be left in unexpected locations to bring a smile to your honeys face - not just on Valentines day.

Valentines, this year, will be on a monday. And i think, mondays, no matter what time of year, deserve a little extra attention and fun to get the week to a great start. I've forgotten about my "monday love posts" and will continue with them in the week to come. Have a super nice, warm and loving weekend and treat yourself and your loved one to something nice. The best time for a relaxed Valentines breakfast is propably this sunday. See you soon!

Let LOVE show!

Add some love to your home!
With redecorated vintage plates, wooden map-hearts, a pretty typographic artwork or just simply a cute card. One can never have enough love. Or show enough love. So, especially in cold but lovely february, let's keep our hearts warm and happy by just being a little more loving every day!

I work in whatever medium likes me at the moment.
Marc Chagall

Some "art of heart" cards i did from the design i posted the other week. They were meant as a B-day present for a friend, but if i find time to add some more variations, i might put them in an Etsy-shop. I found beautiful matching envelopes in different shades of pink - such fun to play with these things!
The rose and wildflower bouquet is a present i got from a dear friend who came to tea last sunday - pure luxury

I've started on three new paintings too, but they need some more time to ripen and be presentable. Now, that the days are longer i enjoy having some artist time in the evenings. Sometimes that means, just looking at things and offering elderflower-champagne to the muses :)

Moving hearts. Our heart can smile, love, fly, cry, sing and dance. It's colour may change from day to day, from a pale pink glow to a deep crimson fire and it carries us through all of lives ups and downs. It has a language of it's own that can be translated into poetry, music or painting. A little game of watercolours for our creative thursday.
