Decorating with books

A good book on your shelf is a friend that turns its back on you and remains a friend.

I don't know about you, but i always have piles of books around me. and sometimes even play with them or use them for little vignettes and stillifes around the house. Especially when i want to take photos of little things. So i loved this collection of beautifully styled photos i found at LONNY mag.
They really do get me going somehow ... My son recently said: "The graet thing about books is, that they never look bad, even if they just lie around somewhere!"
Have a sweet midweek - keep cozy and beat these April colds – with books!

Dreams are not without meaning wherever thay may come from - from fantasy, from the elements, or from other inspiration.

Is there something like poetry in interior design? If so, you may find it in these special arrangements by Mathilde Hardy for her E-shop "Les Petits Bohèmes". You can find handmade toys, home accessoires, vintage furniture and more. Her style reminds me of the film "Amelie", and it gets me dreaming. How lovely for a child (and for big ones too!), to be surrounded by so much inspiration!

Monday Love: New colour inspiration

My favourite idea: Bring the sky into your room!

Feeling blue can look really nice!

Yellow brings the sunshine in - i love this joyful colour scheme!

Soft shades of lavender for a female, romantic feel

And this is - quite unusual but very chic! Decorating rooms for a cute little hotel is one of my favorite daydreams!

New colours wanted? These rooms caught my eye - and they make me want to redecorate, or at least start some huge new paintings in these gorgeous shades of blue, violet, pink, turquoise and yellow!

5 ideas to revamp a room

Lovely shades of aqua on different textures make you feel the sea-breeze!

A Floral pattern on a simple screen leaned against the wall looks like a piece of art - and makes a stuning background for a favourite piece of furniture.

A Geometric lamp against a coloured wall makes a kind of installation - simple yet very modern.

Don't you love this lamp? Pretty bags and fabrics form a unique and playful centerpiece you won't find in any shop.

Some colourful ideas to redecorate a corner in your house. It's amazing, how a piece of fabric, a bit of colour or just some objects put in a new order can create a whole new look and feel. And sometimes there's nothing better to get you started on a creative journey ... If you're a bit like me, one thing leads to another, and why not make use of that?

Dare to try something new today, something you haven't tried yet - even if it's just a new paint on one wall, a new lipstick or a new way home. What will it be for me? Hope to keep posting about it soon ;)
