Pink is always a good idea!

You know how i always dreamed of having my own
fabric collection for the home
- now i've started working on some designs, using elements and inspiration from my paintings. I'm exited!

It's fun to launch out into something new, yet it is also challenging. Not everything that looks good on canvas, works on fabrics, pillows, bags and so on. Am so curious to know what you think of these things listed in my shop here

In case you have a word with the christmas fairy - This weekend, there is
free shipping on all orders if you click on this Link

I'd be happy if you spread the word. Feel free to copy the pix and links from this post.
Have a super weekend and see you all soon !

Bold, simple & light - Danish with a twist

The greatest step towards a life of simplicity is to learn to let go.”

I recently came across OYOY,  a new Danish interior design company. Their printed textiles and housewares with bold and easy shapes and patterns are inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese design and are simple and eyecatching. Somehow the style of designer Lotte Fynboe's graphic colours and fresh designs resonates with my recent theme of simplicity Don't you just love the light in these pictures? Now with spring just around the corner i show you a little preview of their Spring/Summer collection for 2013..

Friday art: new simplicity

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”

These are two paintings of mine from some years ago i recently came across in my archive. They reminded me of my momentary crave for something simple and yet powerful.

My life has been really complex in recent times, joggling the making of our magazine and keeping it alive, family, art – not easy to handle. As a result of that, i find myself a little stuck in my work as a painter. I feel like i'm on the edge of something new and hope that spring gives me the energy to bring it to bloom - let's see!

I'm thinking
color, ease, good vibrations, collectedness, light, energy -
and all of these things i want to wish you for your weekend too!

Spring is almost here, and in case you're looking for some new shades:

Pink it up!

Some Pink living with art-inspiration to get you in the mood for spring! Adding a new color to one of your walls or a new painting can switch the whole mood of a room. I am always dreaming of having one color scheme for winter and a different one for the warmer season. Do you love to redecorate?

Monfay Love: Pastels & Neon

Let's make winter sweet!

Happy start to your week lovelies! As the landscape here is covered in freshly fallen snow. that transforms everything into winter-wonderland. i can't be quite as miserable about January as i was. And coming across these pretty pastel & neon decoration ideas from stylist Charlotte Lovey, i found these pix ideally suited to give winter a fresh and optimistic twist - what do you think?

Happy Inspiration for your home

The light is what guides you home, the warmth is what keeps you there.

... and the atmosphere of cheerfulness and good energy to restore your spirits. In my opinion, colors have such an effect on how you feel at home. That doesn't mean, all the walls have to be painted in vibrant hues though. Just a colorful painting or rug in an all white environment can have such a refreshing effect.
All the pix here are styled with accessories by the danish label RICE, and i adore the daring but harmonious color combinations.

My own home seams rather sad now, without my little friend, whom i see at every corner. So i seek to slowly restore my heart and energy by turning my mind to things, that brighten up my feelings.

French living: Happy and cozy

Happy start to the week lovelies – hope it’ll b a nice one, with lts of opportunities to ejoy septembers mellow beauty! As fall starts, my mind turns to interior decorating. Don’t you love this charming appartemet of french designer Myriam Balaÿ Devidal at Nîmes? She manages o well to combine textures, colors and unique little objects to create a dreamy, happy and very individual setting for herself and her lively family.

A room full of color

Happy weekend lovelies!
How are you these days? Do you love September as much as i do? September is a month of change - from summer to fall, from outdoors to indoors, from sundresses to something more cozy. The clear. crisp sunshiny air seems so alive in the first one of these rooms here, the yellow one!  All of these rooms have elements of bold color and some beautiful art, which is vital to me to bring an interior alive.
Have you planned anything nice this weekend?

Have an aqua weekend!

Fresh & exiting ...
Am celebrating happy blue and aqua shades in my new paintings - it makes me feel like i just visited the Caribean islands! But since i had no time to download these pix from my camera yet, i give you some other yummy aqua inspiration for the weekend and hope you get to enjoy the best of August. It will be a bit cooler here, adn i have planned walks and time out with friends. Excuse my slowness in blogging lately. The new paintings in addition to other work takes so much of my energy. But i'll do a good bloghop over the weekend and come visit you all!

Pink up your day!

Some happy inspiration in case your skies look grey, like ours here. It's a soft and mellow mood, windy, rainy - much like autumn. Am having some time off this week, being at home, working on my paintings, getting tuned into color. What are the shades you like best a the moment?

Colorful summer

Color is ... pure emotion!

There is something about the combination of pink, yellow and turquoise that makes my heart sing. Its a long weekend here in germany, the sun is shining, a nice wind is blowing - and i'm so in the mood for colors! These fabulous interiors styled with lots of pretties from the new rice denmark collection really gets me going.

And - to tell you the truth, i'd love to get all crazy and cover our walls in pink, yellow, turquoise and violet! Since i'm living with 3 men (and one tomcat), i'll rstrict myself to canvases though, and maybe one or the orther burst of color in the garden ;)

Have a sparkling may weekend lovelies, lots of sunny vibes from me!

How's your week going so far lovelies? So much rain here still and i'm tired. Just had coffee and lovely lemon cupcakes i baked yesterday - wish i could invite you over to share a bite. More about this here soon.
