For Japan with Love

I love how the blogging community unites today in this initiative that shows, what small efforts can do. If you are a blogger, you can participate too. This Friday, March 18th, my blog will be silent as in no posts in honor and respect for what has happened in Japan.

Ever Ours has teamed up with Utterly Engaged and handpicked ShelterBox as the organization to donate to, where there are volunteers are already there in Japan helping, so please be assured that your donations are being put to good use. ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.

  3. I love how we all come together during such difficult times. The metal clay community is also taking donations for ShelterBox. The metal clay we use was born in Japan and is also manufactured there. You realize what a small world it is sometimes.

Beautiful post, Martina, from a beautiful soul...

  5. Good morning beautiful friend,

Oh precious, we are having GOOD weather that is melting the snow away. Today will be bright and sunny, but tomorrow, the rain comes. I hope your headache goes away, and that you meeting with your friend is splendid. I met with a colleague and dear friend from work last night CHEZ MOI, in my new room, and we enjoyed ourselves so much. I am trying to compose my new blog post, but it is so hard to choose the right words in light of the harsh realities that are in our world and around us...but I think I will make it..a writer often struggles, and I am just happy to have the time this morning to participate in this sacred moment.....have a lovely day dear friend. Anita OHHH! I WANTED TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH I ENJOY THE MAGAZINE AND TO SEE YOUR LOVELY PICTURE IN THE EDITOR'S COLUMN!!!! WOWOWWWWW! I KNOW YOU!!!

  9. MARTINA MARTINA!!! Thank you for popping on over yesterday dearest! It sounds as if you had a GLORIOUS OUTING for dinner, under perfect blue skies! Oh, I AGREE WITH YOU; let's stop this madness of the world and HAVE FUN....oh dear, my sweet husband came home yesterday after being gone 8 days on a trip. Having him come home to see our new chandelier up that was installed on Thursday (I took the day off!!) and then some new bookcases!! He is over the moon with joy. But the real joy is having him next to me again and hearing his voice. We have RAIN now, but that is O.K., for we need to wash away all the dirt and sand and dirty snow. I cannot WAIT TO SEE SPRING. I think our new little courtyard in the back is going to be lovely this year, now with the enclosure of the new structure. I have always enjoyed spending my time in my yard, but it will be so special this year.

Well dear one, I cannot wait to show my husband my German magazine! We had so much to catch up on yesterday that I didn't get a chance to show him, but he will love seeing that YOU are the EDITOR!!

MUCH LOVE TO YOU THIS FINE DAY, Anita
