It's a day for a crumble!

Life is uncertain.  Eat dessert first.

Or eat it as the meal itself! Who needs steak when there is crumble? A crumble is such an easy and delicious way to prepare sweet comfort food - so much needed to keep our spirits up in January. This one is made with strwberries and raspberries - equally good with apples and raspberried, hidden under an oatmeal crust spiced with Cardamom. Try it on a drab winter afternoon and feel your juices flow again! Find the original recipe here. I just added oatmeal to the mix and reduced sugar

  1. This looks so good and these are one of my favorite, especially apple with some ice cream. :) Thank you for the recipe and enjoy your week dear friend.

  2. Good afternoon sweet friend!

You have given me an idea here. This weekend for BREAKFAST, I am going to make this! It is healthy and full of the good things I eat anyway, but not in this combination! I shall try it. Thank you! I so hope you are feeling better. AND...we have no snow and it is "warm!"

  4. Oh my friend,

I am so sorry that you are still not feeling well! I have another blogger pal who ALSO feels very very tired after having caught this bug. I am MUCH BETTER, but I was sick, believe it or not, for TWO MONTHS! I just barely stopped blowing my nose and coughing!!! Oh, eat lots of crumble with those vitamin C rich raspberries!! SPARKLES are flying to me from Germany! Anita

  6. Looks delicious. I once made a cherry crumble for Thanksgiving and loved it; however, I'm not a lover of baking or cooking. Do love eating, but wish I could have someone do it for me everyday!

  12. Oh my dear, dear Martina!

A bladder issue? I have had that before! I WISH YOU HEALING NOW!!! Rest is a huge factor. I know you work so hard and probably so many hours. But real rest and much sleep is so healing. I have a STY IN MY EYE but over night, it actually got better. Winter is draining on the body, and yes, our bodies do talk to us through FATIGUE and pain! Let's take time to listen......be well my dear and thank you for visiting! Anita

  13. Oh, I couldn't agree more, liebe Martina. We do need a crumble each day, especially if it's as sweet as yours here!
Our weather is bad as well, rain rain rain and grey skies. Candles are burning, the kettle is on, let's make the best of it.
    Love to YOU xxxx
