I'm summer, come, run along my beaches, loose your thoughts in my rays of sunshine, dive into my oceans ...

Dear friends, it's been a loooooong while since i last posted here - do you guess where i've been? It wasn't easy going beach life all the time, but somehow, summer took me on it's wings and carried me away. Making the long days seem short, giving me so much to do while at the same time making me .... not exactly lazy, but stretching my inner life out in various directions. These pix were taken during a trip to the Italian riviera, and i'm going to show you more of the colors of Italy here soon.
Hope you're having a splendid summer so far and send you a fresh ocean breeze!

The colors of happiness ...

The colors of the ocean on a sunny day are the colors of longing ...

... or the colors of happiness?  Of perfect summer bliss? All this green and white and blue and turquoise, speckled with gold here and there - i still see it, when i close my eyes and i hear the sounds too and i smell the warm skin with lotion on it ...
These pix were taken at the Italian Riviera some weeks earlier this year.

On saturday we're going on another trip - this time to Munich and to Austria, to see my family and celebrate my dads birthday. Hope you'll all have a very lovely time until than - i can't believe this is the last month of summer already - let's make the most of it!

Monday Love: Mint-tea on the beach

Why do we love the sea?  It is because it has some potent power to make us think things we like to think.
Robert Henri

Some pictures from a recent trip to the Netherlands, visiting Scheveningen, with it's huge sandy beach and the beautiful city of Den Haag. The best part of these days was sitting outside in a beach cafè with a hot, fresh mint-tea, watching the sun go down and slowly melting into the ocean, sand on our feet and a scarf wrapped around the shoulders. I wish i could see the sea more often. For me, it has such a soothing, mind opening efect - the sounds, the smells, all connecting me to the rhythms of nature.
If you feel stressed this week ( i hope not!), think of the ocean and tune in, or, if you are lucky enough to live close to the beach, just go there and - let go!
Happy start to your week lovelies!

Fashion shoot

Not painting, but playing with colours just the same. The first fashion shoot we did ourselves, on a beach along the Rhine. Robin (in tree) did the photos, beautiful Freda and her little brother Paul were the cutest models ever. Check out the whole thing in the new issue of KidsLife, coming out soon.
