Monday Love: espresso shortbread

Some experimental cookies

for this recipe sounded interesting to me -  and yesterday evening, i felt so cold that i had this urge to stay near the oven and preapare something more to eat (right after dinner) instad of spending time with my paintings. I love simple cookies and i love espresso - and this is a combination of both, cookies with ground espresso worked into the dough. They look, like everything i bake, quite "homemade", but i wasn't that easy to get them in shape because please note: this dough is crumbly. But it's worth a try. The kids don't like them, so me and my hubby have them all for ourselves, Yay!

  4. Good evening my dearest Martina! OHHHH THIS LOOKS WONDERFUL! DID THEY TASTE WONDERFUL? Another fabulous blog friend in Canada made EARL GREY TEA COOKIES WITH THE TEA IN THE DOUGH!!! She said they were so good....do share the recipe????

Oh my sweet, talk about COLD....I came home today to see that the builders STARTED MY BUILDING!!! And they worked out in 5 degree farenheit weather! They are used to this for Minnesota is one of the coldest states in America!

I had a magnificent weekend, and today was not too bad at school. But as the week builds up, so does the childrens' energy!!! But dreams, friends like you and family help us to get through. Take it easy as much as you can dear one and thank you for coming by....I love how you say, blöogland!!!

    BISOUS, Anita

  8. Well, my younger son said: they look like cookies from the GDR (you know, the eastern part of germany, when the wall was still up)! He demanded i'd rather make some brownies!

  14. Anything involving chocolate & dough sounds divine to me! It even looks like I could eat the cookie dough raw on this recipe, being that it doesn't have an egg...so should be okay being pregnant...oh man...I want them now! haha...

  20. Dearest Martina!

Oh Austria and Munich sound like not only BEAUTIFUL CITIES, but places where you have your beloved family and many memories. I can only imagine that there are some places that seem magical in your part of the world, with such old and NEW architecture and history. Oh, our weather is going to get very ugly on the weekend. It is supposed to get even COLDER!!! You should see how dry my hands are, even if I put cream!!! YOU SHOULD ALSO SEE MY NEW ROOMS!!!They are not done yet, but when they are, I will post about it!!

Now, off to finish off the week. Today my children and I are going on a field trip to a local food packing plant to send meals to third world countries. It is a fun and meaningful trip for us all.

Have a wonderful and peaceful day dear one, Anita
