Monday Love: Into the blue

A blue monday ...
is a free monday, and i'm having one of these today. Am feeling rather out of it - headache, stomach ache, backpains - all good reasons to do nothing but read, sketch and occassionally have a cuppa and a little mouthful! I hope this plan works out today!

These two blue paintings are a from a series i did with my artist friend Andrea König.
In this case, she lay a cobweb of tiny silver dots over the paintings. The structure looks different in the changing light and sometimes gives the impression of movement - quite fascinating!

I always like to work in layers, one partly veiling the others. It takes trust, to let someone else do part of the work for you, when your art is concerned - surprises guaranteed!

  11. Hi Martina,

I hope you feel better soon! I have a bit of a sore throat that doesn't feel right. The kind that makes the ears tickle and hurt, like something is coming on. We have been spending a lot of time outdoors in the wind at baseball games (for the grandson). I am wondering if it could be allery related symptoms??

Your paintings are very magical. How wonderful you have such a friend that you can trust to add to your paintings like this! :) Beautiful!

Saying a prayer for you to feel better soon dear friend.

    xoxo...Gloria

  15. SWEET MARTINA! Yes dearest, your body does need a long rest and like you, I dream of having quiet time to write, create in whatever capacity and just enjoy calm!!!! Work is crazy, but I can only do a few things at a time...and with that I will achieve my goals. Oh dearest, if you are interested, please let me know for sure if you will participate in the Paris link party. No need for anything HUGE or long but if you have art that expresses Paris, then GO AHEAD and post that. My husband is also participating with FOOD!!!

I send you my wishes today for a much better day of recovery and great joy my friend!!! Anita
