A bit of art & a bit of fashion

The sweet smell of spring is in the air ...

and on my way to do some groceries i see white and pink and yellow, so fragile and so pretty! I smell something like honeysuckle and cherry blossom and the sky is baby blue. It makes me feel happy, but also a little off my usual tempo. Like i just want to sit and dream and let myself float along with the fluffy white clouds. You get it - kind of a difficult day to get some work! done
The little painting above just swings in this mood, although it was done in the winter.

Am glad the weekend is almost here, although it's supposed to bring rain. I plan to have a stroll over the flea market and the farmers market, work on some drawings i started, meet some friends i haven't seen for a while and dive into the pages of a fabulous new magazine called Scarlet Pink. Fashion, Art, Music, Culture - just love that mix. And am doubly exited because a lovely and talented blogfriend of mine is one of the contributors - do you guess, who it is?

  5. OOOO MARTINA! Good morning! First of all, that painting is making me very HAPPY! You just gave me an idea for a happy thought...you have been such an inspiration to me, to open up my eyes in regards to color and art. I adore your new painting!

We too finally had a feel for spring in the air! Five lovely days of 50 F degree weather, that melted a lot of the snow away. There is more snow coming today, but in March, that usually means it does not stay for long. So hope has flown in and is here to stay for a while, at least until November!

I love that you are working in the midst of sunshine and if you get diverted or distracted, let that take you somewhere unexpected! And how kind of you to mention Scarlet Pink! I am truly looking forward to seeing your final Q & A so we can start the fun.

Wishing you a happy weekend my friend. You deserve it, and we all have earned some sunshine after this brutal winter! LOVE, Anita

  13. The colors, the texture, the mood... I love everything about this painting ♡
The first photo reminded me of a painting that was displayed in a little gallery ran by a friend of mine. Whimsical women in a see through dress. Apparently very disturbing to some mother with little kids, who asked for the painting removal........ Oh Canada, lol
