May i show you ...

Woran ich in der letzten Zeit gearbeitet habe?
What i've been working on in the past weeks?

Die Sommerausgabe von KidsLife!
The summer edition of KidsLife!

Ich bin so aufgeregt!
I am so exited!

Because i think it's one of our nicest editions ever and i'm simply in love with that cute cover girl, taken by the wonderful Jen Carver. And it's got an article about a great blogfriend of mine - a mother of 5 who i just admire for her creativity and positive energy - Libbie Doyle. It's packed with summer-family-fun,   and i'm happy to introduce our new launch of Green KidsLife, a creative supplement for kids that is meant to inspire them as well as their parents to a greener, more sustainable lifestyle.
At the moment, it's only available in german, but i hope we do manage to get an international issue as well soon.

Because the last time has been full of inspiration but also packed with work and rain. hubby and i are leaving for a little vacation to the Italian Riviera - to freshen up our energies and spirits. We'll be back on the 15th of June, and i hope you will all have a grand old time in the meantime. I look forward to visit you again and send you lots of love!

Monday Love: A cupcake & tea party!

Eat me!
Oh yes, sweet little cupcake, who could resisit you, looking so darling in these in these pretts photos of talented blogger and photographer Hana Lynch from the mom tog diaries. Such a cute and creative party idea for her little girl who just turned 5 - with vintage china cups and Alice in wonderland setting. I often spend time looking around for pictures suited for our parenting magazine KidsLife, and these really appeal to me. Have a nice start into the new week my friends, try to catch time before it flies away! And don't forget to have a cupcake in between ;)

Banana Cupcakes

Cupcakes, anyone?

Some baking for our magazine KidsLife in the house of my lovely norwegian friend Ingunn. We made Banana cupcakes, following the inspiration given by the famous Bakerella, and had fun preparing everything and decorating with colorful sugar bits. The frosting was a bit too soft to keep it in shape, but nevertheless it looked good to us. If you're a perfectionist you should cool it for several hours to make it look like Bakerella did, but our kids couldn't wait that long ;) If you want to give this a try, look at the recipe here!

Childhood memories

photos courtesy of joules

Kids fashion is what occupies me at the moment in my work for the magazine. We did a shooting the other week with two sweet kids, and were so lucky to catch the one dry and sunny day in a whole month of nothing but rain. Sorting out the pictures is difficult, but also fun. I'm also discovering a lot of interesting new labels - and one of them is "Little joule".

I like the the style and the photos a lot. Don't they transport you back into your own childhood? I think of holidays at my grandparents. Exploring old barns, smelling old wood and other things with great intensity, dreaming of adventures i'd like to play with my friends ... A summer full of fantasie and sweet surprises.

New Fashion shoot for KidsLife

Some Impressions from our session on sunday! It was all snowy and white outside, yet the atmosphere was supposed to look like early spring! Thank god the kids had some lovely sweaters from ginger & ruby to put on, while our lovely hostess, Bettina May from "Holunderhof" in Dexheim and her daughters warmed us up with Coffee and freshly made wafers, hmmm! Photographer was Robin Benito - the little ones loved him! Model on these pix: Miriam Leber

My kids

Well, my kids when they were still small! Sometimes i wish i could shrink them back to this size. We still sit around this avocado shaped table, made by friend and fellow artist Piet Hohl. The painting itself is sold.

Fashion shoot

Not painting, but playing with colours just the same. The first fashion shoot we did ourselves, on a beach along the Rhine. Robin (in tree) did the photos, beautiful Freda and her little brother Paul were the cutest models ever. Check out the whole thing in the new issue of KidsLife, coming out soon.
