Painted leaves

Bittersweet October.  The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.
Carol Bishop Hipps

Leaves are falling here now - our lawn is all scattered in yellow, red, orange, gold and brown, and when i walk to work by foot, as i often do, i love to look at the leaves on the pavement like little fished in a pond. I spotted these fabulous pictures over at my spanish blogfriend Elena, and just found them so magical i had to show you! Have a fab midweek, love from germany!

Friday Art: Love the moment!

Colored leaves come flying down
like rain - our garden is filled with a soft yellow carpet that hides the green. Meanwhile i play with my new camera and with my new wellies and with soft november clouds hanging low in the mornings - such fun to sit on them and fly of to work!

Today is 11-11-2011. I'm planning to meditate with friends at 11.11 pm CET  to envision peace on earth. Thousands of people are meditating today, so, if you feel like joying in, be welcome! I think this time is very auspicious - much tension but also much hope. It's a full moon as well, and the witches say, full moons are the best times to make a wish come true ...

Let your art guide you - weekly challenge

The first green leaves of spring are so enchanting. I can't wait to see them everywhere. Meanwhile i was working on this little stillife featuring fern leaves and pastell colours. Contrary to my habbits, i was working with a small brush, concentrating on this one painting and on technique - which felt kind of meditative and calm. I'm using this experience to tune into painting again - feels really good!

Please look at what our other participants did as well - and if you feel like it, sign in at art'n sewl - we'll be happy to meet you in our weekly group!
