Sweet fairy tales

Equally sweet for the eyes and the tongue: the wonderful sugary fairy tales by amazing blogger and food stylist Aline from "My little fabric". I really can't get enough of looking at her creations and i love how she combines drawing and typograhy with these lovely and whimsical photos of yummy little treats - so simple and yet with a lot of Oh la la and phantasy! Have a fun start to your week an dare to do something crazy somewhere these days - any ideas yet?

Friday art: Colorful weekend!

"Colour helps to express light, not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists, that in the artist's brain."
Henri Matisse,

Just a quick shot from my studio to wish you a colorful, fabulous weekend ahead.
The last days of July ... let's make the most of it. Any exiting (or restful) plans yet?

Pink up your day!

Trust that little voice in your head that says “Wouldn’t it be interesting if…”; And then do it.

Some happy inspiration in case your skies look grey, like ours here. It's a soft and mellow mood, windy, rainy - much like autumn. Am having some time off this week, being at home, working on my paintings, getting tuned into color. What are the shades you like best a the moment?

A home for imagination

Such a cool place to be,

Cy Twombly's Roma apartment shot by Horst P. Horst for Vogue in 1966.... I imagine myself swanning around these rooms, drawing, dreaming, preparing to paint. It seems so removed from the business and chitter-chatter of everyday life, almost like an underwater palace, removed from time.
Cy Twombly died last year in Rome, age 83. I found him most phaszinating and inspiring in his old age, where he, who was known for his subtle scribbles painted huge canvases of roses and did something entirely new and daring.
Any exiting and daring plans for the weekend yet? OMG, i feel lie sleeeeeeeeping in ;)

Ready for dolce vita?

Dolce vita here i come!
I'm ready friends - bags are packed, scarf's around my head, shades on my eyes, song's on my lips! Ha ha, am off to a daytrip to Italy, with closed eyes during coffe-break, cruising around Laggo Maggiore with my beloved. Phantasie is a miraculous thing and it refreshes me while i work through a heap of things still to be done! Cheers to a fabulous flight through this week, will be back to commenting and visiting you soon!

Some cool ceramic art

Hello lovelies, how are you?

This is just a little art post in between my blogbreak to tell you i miss you!  Some amazing pieces i saw at an artfair here a while ago by an artist called Eva Schaeuble. I really fancied that yellow vase in the first picture! There are 3 things i'd like to collect if i was a collector - exept of art  in general - and these are vases, chairs and shoes.

Have a most lovely summer weekend, let your hair down and do whatever makes you smile!
