Have a drink with me!

If you were to ask me if I'd ever had the bad luck to miss my daily cocktail, I'd have to say that I doubt it; where certain things are concerned, I plan ahead.
Luis Bunuel

There are two things i really find very stylish and glamorous and, since i cannot have them on a daily base (like good old Bunuel, who's films i adore), at least i must have them from time to time. One is teatime and the other is coctail hour.

May i introduce: This is the new "in" coctail here in europe this summer, it's called "HUGO", and it's wonderful fresh and light. You take a little bit of elderflower-syrup, fill it up with half champagne and half water, add some lime juice, some fresh mint leaves and a few ice cubes or crushed ice. Just the right thing for people like me, whoi sometimes like a little "kick" but without so much alcohol - give it a try on a nice summer evening!

P.S:: Surrounding it, you get glimpses of the colorful mess in my studio  – recognise the little shoe-painting? Hope your week is rolling on nicely my lovelies, and that you get to enjoy the best of august!

  5. GOOD MORNING MARTINA!

Oh I think this is a wonderful idea! I must have my tea time, and I am not a drinker...but this cocktail sounds just right for a special evening. When I was in France, these beautiful flower-flavored syrups got my attention and they are the best ingredient to pretty up a half glass of champagne!

Well my lovely one, August is furiously rushing by and even our mornings are becoming DARKER!!!!! NO!!!! But seeing your colorful studio here is making me ready for a day of creating here in my studio. Thank you for always inspiring me across the pond!

Off I go to start my day; I think I will have my own little cocktail of sparkling water and raspberries! LOVE! Anita

  10. Oh Martina, RASPBERRY SYRUP????? That sounds so delicious! When I was in France, I had a most BEAUTIFUL and tasty BLUE syrup that came from a certain flower there in the South of France. Not only was it delicious, it was so pretty to look at in the tall slender bottle. That was a wonderful outdoor market in Antibes....Oh how I long to go back!!!!

Well, our weather turned chilly today! I had to wear a jacket to go out! Before we know it, it will be time to cuddle up and eat hot soups...NOOOOO! NOT YET!

Enjoy these wonderful days of summer my precious friend!! Anita
