Green food for the weekend!

Happy weekend lovelies!
If you have mint growing in your garden, why not try this delicious Pesto i made the other day?  It's so green and fresh, it's made within minutes and it has this minty, sharp and sweet flavour i love!

I'm going to take a little break from blogging until middle of July. Since our magazine KidsLife is undergoing a complete relaunch i have so much on my plate right now, it's just feels like too much. I will still visit you if i find time and hope we'll stay in touch!

Enjoy summer and keep sparkling!

Shop the magic!

A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.
Colin Powell

And then sometimes the magic slips in .... and makes a piece of work really special. Some gorgeous pix from other artists that caught my eye these day:
Exquisite paper shoes and bluebird, handmade by my dear blogfriend Anita Rivera, who just quit her job as a teacher to be a full time artist - so exiting!  Romantic necklace with pearls and flowers, so perfect to style up a simple white summer dress by Rustic Gem and a lovely vintage style painting on an old book page by Coco de Paris.

Happy midweek to you flowers, see you soon!

Delicious food makes every day better!
And since the weekend is coming along with another chance to enjoy leisurely meals and celebrate summer, i want to show you some delicious things by my blogfriend Aldy, from New Zealand. She has such a talent to prepare fresh, homemade meals that let you experience the original flavour of things, yet surprises with little tricks and extras that make her dishes special. She says: „Cooking and eating are not only a matter of survival to me but for my well-being.The labor of love that fills my heart with joy and my chosen main ingredient to connect with family and friends.“

Her cooking combines local flavours with specialities from Argentinia, where she comes from, and i show you Pears with Mint Leaves and Lemon Syrup and  Dulce de Leche – a  yummy Milk Candy Spread that is so typical for South America. Aldy even says : We eat Dulce de Leche like there is no tomorrow!“ So, we should defenitl give it a try lovelies! So, let's hop over to her blog and look at the recipes!

June romance

If a June night could talk, it would probably boast it invented romance.
Bern Williams

Happy weekend dear friends and happy summer! How are things in your corner of the world? Here, it's been raining a lot lately and the atmosphere is somehow mellow and tender, just like in these stunning images from one of my favorite photographers, Loreta, from All the bautiful things. I've worked with her for our magazines KidsLife several times and every time she really manages to bring on the magic. Postcards from her work are available here.

strawberries love chocolate!

One of the fun things we did in Austria! Try this - it's a great combination of health and indulgence and if you have kids, it keeps them busy for a whole afternoon! Happy midweek lovelies and strwaberry love from me!

May in Paris

Just imagine ...
May in Paris, with all of YOU living there as well,
for a week or so, all of us, free to enjoy live in the city of lights,
love, art, fashion and joie de vivre. I would rent
erin fetherston’s apartment  - and invite you in
for tea and rainbow colored macaroons and later
champagne, cheese & paté.
Isn't that pink daybed a dream?

I would, paint, write, dream ... drive my vintage byciclette to
do my groceries at farmers markets and delicious little shops,
polish up my french again, and meet you in sidewalk cafés,
on lively squares and  in little restaurants ...
yes, i can see why Paris is always a good idea!

Let's start the week à la parisienne,
whatever that means to you ..
.i'llbe delighted to hear more about it soon!

And look at more gorgeous  Paris inspiration
over at my friend Anitas place -
she's american, but whenever i think of Paris,
i think of her as well!

P.S: As i'm currently away, i will come and visit you all as soon as i get back - beginning of nexr week!

A little trip to Austria

Laughter is an instant vacation.
Milton Berle

Ha, ha, but even though friends, vee are also sneeking in a week in Austria - just for a change ;) I feel like we've had a lot of stress so far and we do look forward to some time out. The nice thing about Austria is, that the clocks still seem to be going a little slower there. The morning air feels like champagne and the soft lakewater is so lovely for a swim.

Life is really nice and quiet in the seaside village called "Steindorf", were we stay. It's really like a second home to me, since i've spent almost all my childhood summers there, in the house of my grandparents that now belongs to my bro. We'll be meeting my sister and her family - see us on the last picture,  having a picnic at the "Schwimmbad".

So long lovelies, see you back soon for a fabulous time in Paris, hosted by my friend Anita. from Castles, crowns and cottages .
